I travel, figure out how to make it pay for itself, and write down exactly what worked — wherever that trip happens to be.
Hi, I’m Mia — the person behind NomadSEAGuide.
This site started because I kept running into the same problem: travel advice online is either recycled listicles, or it’s written by people who’ve never actually had to make a budget work, apply for a visa themselves, or figure out how to keep earning while on the road. So I started writing down what actually happened when I did those things — the real costs, the paperwork that took three tries to get right, the side-income ideas that genuinely worked versus the ones that were a waste of time.
NomadSEAGuide covers three things I think belong together but rarely get treated that way:
- Travel — practical, destination-specific guides for getting around, staying safe, and actually enjoying the trip.
- Money — real cost-of-living numbers, budgeting, and side-income ideas for people who want to travel more without running out of money.
- Logistics — visas, insurance, banking, and the unglamorous admin that makes the first two possible.
I don’t publish anything I haven’t checked against current, sourced information, and I flag it clearly when something depends on rules that change often (visas and tax, mostly) so you know to double-check before making a decision.
If that sounds useful, the best way to keep up with new guides is to subscribe below — no spam, just new posts as they go up.
